A store that looks good but loads slowly, confuses buyers or cannot be tracked will quietly lose sales. Before you approve any Shopify build, check that these basics are covered.
1. A structure built around how people buy
Start from your customer's path: how they arrive, what they need to decide, and what makes them hesitate. Navigation, collections and product pages should follow that path, not the theme's demo content.
2. Fast, clean mobile pages
Most shoppers browse on their phones. Images should be sized properly, apps should be kept to the ones that earn their place, and pages should feel quick on an ordinary mobile connection.
3. Product pages that answer questions
Clear titles, honest photos, key details near the top, shipping and returns information, and social proof where you have it. If a buyer has to leave the page to find an answer, you have probably lost them.
4. A checkout you have tested yourself
Place a real test order. Try discount codes, different shipping options and a different device. Confirm the confirmation emails arrive and look right.
5. Tracking set up before launch
Analytics, ad pixels and conversion events should be installed and verified before you spend on traffic. Fixing broken tracking later means guessing about the past.
6. A launch checklist and support window
Domains, redirects, legal pages, email sender settings and a short period of support after launch all belong on the list. Launch day should be calm, not a scramble.
